Mouse-Shaped Butter Cookies

Ingredients

  • 50g unsalted butter, softened
  • 20g powdered sugar
  • 1 cooked egg yolk
  • 45g cake flour or low-protein flour
  • 45g cornstarch


Instructions



1. In a mixing bowl, whip the softened butter and powdered sugar until the texture becomes light and creamy.

2. Press the cooked egg yolk through a fine sieve, then stir it into the butter mixture until fully blended.

3. Add the flour and cornstarch, mixing gently until a soft dough forms.



4. Tint the dough with your preferred food coloring if desired.



5. Divide the dough into 10g pieces. Shape each portion into a small mouse design by flattening and molding the dough with your hands.



6. Arrange the cookies on a lined baking tray and bake at 150°C for about 20 minutes, or until lightly set.
